To help applicants improve the efficiency of trademark registration, PUYIZHICHAN has summarized five common reasons for refusal of acceptance in trademark registration applications, for your reference:
The applicant fails to respond to the examination opinion notice (notice of correction) issued by the Trademark Office, or fails to make corrections as required.
The prescribed official fees are not paid to the Trademark Office.
For applicants that are foreign entities or individuals, the submitted certificates, supporting documents, and evidentiary materials are not accompanied by Chinese translations, and the translations are not stamped with the applicant's seal/signature, or the seal of the代理机构 (representative) or translation company.
The applicant name filled in the application, the seal or signature affixed, and the attached identity documents submitted are inconsistent with one another.
For joint applications filed by multiple applicants, the supplementary page containing the names of all joint applicants and bearing their seals or signatures is not submitted at the same time.
